Tips For Creating Your Sales Page
A sales page is a perfect place to show off your offerings without committing to a full site. It needs to be compelling, detailed, and able to persuade your clients on why they should buy, all on the same page. If you have a sales page or if you’re thinking about investing in one, here are some of our tips when it comes to creating one:
01. Choosing your platform
A sales page is a stand-alone one-page site for you to show off your offerings. The main goal of a sales page is to convince your clients to buy. There are many platforms to use, all geared toward different kinds of entrepreneurs. We use Squarespace when building our sites; so, research which platform will work best for you and meet your needs. (Check out last week’s blog: Is Squarespace or Shopify Best for Your Business? If you need some help.)
02. Creating a wireframe first and laying out the content
Here is when you decide what you want your sales page to look like. Do some market research and find which designs you like most and how they will play into the content you want to share.
Creating an intriguing design for your sales page is extremely important for engaging your audience. Having high-quality images that are placed strategically throughout the page will help catch the eyes of your future clients. Breaking up your page with different elements and layout styles is a good way to draw more attention to what you want your clients to focus on.
Don’t forget to make sure your sales page will visually convert over to mobile without any problems. Keep in mind that many of us use online shopping and browse the web through our mobile devices.
Put CTAs everywhere! We’ve talked before about how important it is to strategically place your CTA’s throughout your site and how they are a key factor in converting sales, so don’t forget them!
03. Ordering your content
You have all the content you need for your sales page and you’re almost ready to begin building it out…but wait! What are you going to do with all that content? Let’s talk about the best ways to order your content to keep your audience engaged.
Headline- Use this as a way to hook the reader. Make it short and simple, yet compelling enough to make them want to dig more into what you have to offer. For example, “ Ready to Launch Your Empire?”
Body text- Here you will want to go into detail about your offerings and show the reader why they should invest. This is also a good place to insert some photos of your offerings to keep the reader engaged.
Testimonials- The part is where you get to brag on yourself and show off your client's love! Client testimonials are a great way for building credibility and trust with your audience.
FAQ/ Pricing- We always say be straightforward with your clients and leave no room for unanswered questions. Think about using an investment guide as a way to show off your pricing. This is also a great way to build your email list!
CTA buttons- As said above, the use of CTAs throughout your sales page is crucial. A perfect way to end off your content is by placing an intriguing CTA button at the bottom of your page.
04. Building it out
You’ve made it! The final step in pushing your sales page live. At this part, many entrepreneurs will think it would be easier for them to DIY. Let us tell you this, you will want to hire the experts. Building out your sales page can be tricky and time-consuming if you’re new to the process. Why not take back that time so you can focus on other parts of your business?
