Why Your Website Isn't Converting Sales

Website Design

We get asked the same question by entrepreneurs all the time - “why isn’t my website converting sales?!”

It is usually the same key components that are missing or misplaced. The answer is pretty simple but can be hard to implement.

  1. Your call to action isn’t clear.

This needs to be a button that has a clear next step (Book Now, Schedule Intro Call, Work With Us, Buy Now, etc.), and it needs to be placed within 90% of the content you are showing your customers.

  2. Your pitch statement isn’t compelling.

It needs to tell your customers exactly what products or services you provide - this should be the first thing that catches their eye.

  3. Future clients aren’t given a reason to trust you.

Client testimonials are a great way to not only show "clout" but give your future clients the confidence to book with you knowing others have been happy with your services.

  4. You haven’t outlined clear next steps for your future clients.

Working with someone new always comes with a bit of hesitation, so your process needs to outline the steps that are taken - from start to finish and should be short and digestible for readers.

  5. You haven’t shown them what it looks like to work with you.

Previous work is one of the best ways for potential clients to see the type of work you do and if it is something that they are looking for. Showcase all your hard work because someone is always watching, they just need that one portfolio spotlight to push them to finally hit that BOOK button!

  6. You aren’t using consistent branding.

Make sure that your website design and style are consistent with your brand - that all your colors, fonts, and images all reflect your brand because there is nothing worse than landing on a site that looks piece mailed together when you are ready to buy or inquire about a project.
