Leading Clients To Your Website

leading clients to your website

You have worked hard to get your business up and going and you have a beautifully designed brand and a strategic website. However, you keep coming across the same problem; getting clients to your website. Luckily, we live in an age where coming into contact with people of all kinds of demographics is easy, but it has also become more difficult in making that connection and making a sale.

Below we will go over our best practices on how to lead your clients to your website:

01. Start a blog

This may not be the first thing that comes to mind when you are figuring out how to drive your clients to your site, but you’re here, aren’t you? A blog is truly one of the best practices for gaining more traffic to your site. Use your blog to communicate with your followers on your social media platforms and the subscribers on your email list. Your clients will learn more about you, your offerings, and your business when you are consistently showing up through blogs.

Starting a blog will not only help you drive more traffic to your site, but it will also help you with your content creation for your social media platforms. We write out a blog each week and base that week's content on the blog. It helps keep you organized and not have to rush last minute on what topics you’re going to cover that week.

02. Create content

“Content” is a word used all the time in the online world. Creators are constantly creating, setting trends, and wishing to go viral. All for good reason of course. The best creators know the value of constantly creating and promoting their content. You should hold the same value for your business content and use it as a marketing tool. Nothing drives more traffic than your clients sharing your content with their friends while boosting engagement or your content going viral!

It’s very rare that your website will get visitors purely just by searching your web address. Utilize your content as a stepping stone to your landing page. We always try to redirect our followers on social media to the link in our bio (which is our web address) by using a CTA. For example, in the caption for a branding and web design post, we will say something like “Ready to take your business to the next level? Head to the link in our bio to set up a discovery call.” Do whatever you can to direct your followers to that link.

03. Create an email stream

Every business should have an email stream for their established and future clients. Not only is this a great way to always show up, but you can use emails in such a way that the reader will be prompted to your site. For example, if you decide to start a blog, use a shorter version of that content for your email stream! Then you’ll want to use a CTA that will direct the reader to your site for more information on the content. You can also promote giveaways, discounts, and exclusive information on social media by having your followers enter their emails through a page on your site. Not only did you just grow your email list but you also just had more traffic to your website!

Your website is your business home and although it may be ready for visitors, you have to invite them in.
